A few words about
What We Do
Our projects
Our foundation is currently involved in our main project: building the free dialysis centre
Our community outreach programs offer valuable services and resources to those in need. These programs provide access to food, educational support, and healthcare assistance. We focus on helping kidney patients and their families overcome challenges, build resilience, and find paths to stability.
Education
They raise awareness about the importance of kidney health and help people recognise potential warning signs. Pertinent information on common symptoms such as fatigue, frequent urination, blood in the urine, swelling in the hands and feet, and persistent high blood pressure are a popular area of mention amongst attendees.
Additionally, we offer guidance on how to conduct self-assessments, such as monitoring urine output and recognising changes in urinary patterns. Emphasis is made on regular check-ups and encourage people to consult their doctor if they experience any concerning symptoms.
Health care
Free counseling services are available to people receiving dialysis treatment who are also struggling with mental health issues. These services provide a safe and confidential space for dialysis patients to discuss their feelings, develop coping strategies, and manage the stress associated with their treatment.
Patients undergoing dialysis who experience low mood, anxiety, or difficulty adjusting to their condition may find significant support through free counseling services. These sessions provide a confidential environment to explore emotions, build coping mechanisms, and lessen the mental health challenges often associated with dialysis treatment.
Awareness campaigns
Local community outreach projects are important in raising awareness about diabetes and high blood pressure, which are the leading causes of kidney disease. We organise health fairs or community health screenings where people can receive free blood pressure and blood glucose tests. Hosting educational workshops on healthy lifestyle choices, such as proper nutrition and regular exercise, helps the community members understand the importance of managing these conditions.
We also collaborate with local healthcare providers, community organisations, and schools for a wider reach and provide resources for early detection and management of diabetes and high blood pressure.
Leadership
These small groups will serve as platforms for women to raise awareness about kidney health, educate others on the importance of early detection and prevention, and advocate for improved access to healthcare resources.
Our mission is to provide these women with the knowledge, tools, and support they need to become effective advocates for kidney health in their communities. By empowering women to take charge of these small groups, we aim to create a network of passionate individuals who are dedicated to making a difference in the lives of those affected by kidney disease.
